At Shoreline Summer Fest, we’re always looking to spotlight creatives who bring something honest, original, and emotionally resonant to the local arts scene. Angela Casey—who goes by ABCasey in the art world—is exactly that kind of artist.
Based in New England, Angela’s work spans traditional and digital media, often mixing the two to produce visuals that feel both grounded and experimental. Her medium preferences include watercolor, gouache, ink, and digital illustration—but you’ll also find a thoughtful emphasis on layout and user interaction thanks to her growing background in UX/UI design. That blend of artistic instinct and technical understanding makes her work not only visually stunning but deeply considered—like each piece is asking a question or opening a conversation.
Her pieces often carry a sense of internal reflection. Whether she’s working in soft, fluid watercolors or precise black ink, her work is rich with emotional undercurrents that speak to self-discovery, identity, and the experience of navigating a world that doesn’t always make space for nuance. Angela’s work invites the viewer to slow down, take a closer look, and feel something—whether comfort, curiosity, or unease.
Though still early in her public-facing art career, Angela has already received notable recognition. She was featured in a Cocoa Butter (BuzzFeed) original in 2022 and highlighted again in Black Noise Issue #18 in 2023. Each feature gave her work a wider audience, but it’s her connection to the local scene that keeps her grounded. A Manchester Community College alum, Angela maintains strong ties to Connecticut’s creative community, lending her work an authenticity and regional perspective that’s hard to replicate.
Angela doesn’t just make art—she contributes to the local creative fabric. And it’s that same energy she brings to Shoreline Summer Fest: a belief that art and community go hand in hand. If you’re someone who appreciates design-forward art with emotional weight, her table is going to be a must-visit. Her work speaks to the complexity of modern identity while maintaining a highly personal, handcrafted touch—and that balance is rare.
We’re honored to have ABCasey join us at this year’s event. Artists like Angela are exactly why Shoreline Summer Fest exists: to lift up voices in our local creative community who are carving out space for honesty, exploration, and new perspectives.
Come meet Angela and explore her work at Shoreline Summer Fest. Support local artists, experience something meaningful, and take home a piece that’ll stay with you long after the music fades.
